Welcome, and thanks for visiting my website!
It has been an interesting few years in office, to say the least.
I was hoping that this would be the year in which we fully turned the tide and started investing, once again, in education and human services. Allentown and South Whitehall were both hit hard but the cuts of the Republican legislature and former Governor Corbett. I'm proud of the fact that I stood, countless times, with Governor Wolf and his efforts to restore these brutal funding cuts. I wish that the budget stalemate was closer to being resolved, but I do know I'm willing to stand for what I believe in: Real investments in education, human services and job creation.
At the same time, I've learned that being a State Representative is about so much more than how you vote. It's also about what you stand for. I've used my position as a platform for advocating for those with mental illness, and I've used my own story to try to break the stigma which surrounds mental health challenges. I've written legislation which has protected rape victims, changed regulations to better protect children in daycares, and brought real money, investments and jobs back into the 132nd.
I'm proud of the work I've done so far, and I know there is so, so much more left to do. Will you stand with me?
